The Union is DESC’s first housing building where 52 formerly homeless tenants live in their own studio apartments. As of 2019, 44% of the residents at the Union have lived there for ten years or longer (many have been there since it opened).

Services:

• 24/7 support staff
• Nutritional services including a daily dinner service
• Medication monitoring
• Common space for tenants on first floor (meeting rooms, dining area)
• Community activities
• On-site clinical services such as nurse and nurse practitioner care
