DESC Burbridge Place welcoming tenants in December 2023

DESC’s newest affordable housing development, Burbridge Place, is located at 8610 Aurora Avenue North. This project is named in memory of a beloved tenant, Joseph Burbridge, who died in 2009, but left an indelible impression on those who knew him. Burbridge Place is unique among DESC housing, built using a patented panelized construction method and innovative environmentally sustainable features.

Celebrated with a grand opening on Dec. 6, 2023, the building features 124 studio units of affordable housing with supportive services and indoor/outdoor community spaces for the tenants, single adults who are living with disabilities and have been experiencing homelessness. DESC will own and operate the building for a minimum of 50 years.
